Slime HQ helps you prepare and organise documents; it doesn't approve products or give legal sign-off. Have the templates checked once by a trading standards or product compliance professional.

If your labels print slightly off, measure your sheet with a ruler and enter the numbers in mm. Or pick "My own sheet" above and enter every measurement.

Designing in Canva?

Boron: there's no US federal boron limit for toys. Slime HQ uses the UK/EU limit (300 mg/kg) as a safe target. That's a precaution, not a US requirement.

Doing a craft fair, farmers market or pop-up? Tick the batches you're taking and how many pots, then note what came back. Slime HQ works out what sold, keeps each batch's stock count and records where every batch went, so you can trace it if there's ever a problem.

Slime bar ideas
- Put pots on tiers (crates, cake stands) so the brightest colours are at eye height for children.
- Have one "try me" tub per texture with a sign: "Please wash hands after playing". Swap testers out through the day.
- Build-your-own bar: a plain base plus toppings (charms, foam beads, scents). Pre-weigh add-ins in small cups so each pot stays within your recipe.
- Label the table with the age warning: "Not suitable for under 3s. Contains small parts."
- Show your prices big and simple, with a bundle deal (e.g. 3 for £15).
- Keep a printed copy of your product file and insurance certificate in a folder under the table.
- Take a photo of your setup each time and save it to the business folder: it shows how you displayed warnings.

Your business
These details go on every label, email and your product file.
Small-batch relief applies only to eligible Group B rules. Group A rules always require third-party testing at a CPSC-accepted lab, even for registered small-batch manufacturers. For slime, Group A includes 16 CFR Part 1501 (small parts) and 16 CFR Part 1303 (lead in paint and surface coatings). Registration does not remove the need to comply, issue a Children's Product Certificate, or use tracking labels. CPSC: Small Batch Manufacturers

Weighing scales (UK trade rules)
If your pots say a weight (e.g. "200 g"), the scales you check them on must be trade approved. Scales used only to weigh ingredients while mixing don't need to be. See Help: "Selling by weight".
Amazon affiliate tags
Your Associates tags. The one ending in -21 is Amazon UK; the one ending in -20 is Amazon.com (USA). Only you, the owner, see this box. The tag is added to Amazon links behind the Shop buttons; Amazon needs it in the link to credit you, so it cannot be hidden from the web address itself.

About Slime HQ
Your data
Everything you enter and upload is saved to your Claude account with this page, so it's there on any device. Only you, and anyone you share the page with as an editor, can see it.
Download everything as one file: recipes and their versions and change history, ingredients, batches and lots, labels and label-sheet settings, market profiles, checklists, CPC and declaration drafts, document records and links, standards, code key and settings. Original uploaded PDFs and photos are separate from the JSON backup. Download an evidence pack to keep copies before changing browsers or clearing site data.
💖 Slime HQ — made by a maker, for makers
Slime HQ takes the scary paperwork out of running a slime business. Pick your ingredients, build your recipes, log every batch, print your labels and keep your safety file tidy, all in one sparkly place. Your data lives on your device, so your secret recipes stay secret.
🛒 How do the "Buy" buttons work?
Tap "Buy" on any ingredient, or "Shop this recipe" on any recipe, and we'll take you straight to a shop that sells it, so you can grab the exact product you've chosen.
💸 Do you earn from those buttons?
Sometimes, yes! Some "Buy" buttons are affiliate links, which means the shop sends us a little thank-you if you order through them. Your price stays exactly the same. We work with programmes including Amazon Associates, and we may also partner with shops such as Walmart and Michaels, and with networks such as Awin and CJ. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

🔒 Your privacy matters
We believe your recipes, batches and business details belong to you and nobody else.
📱 Where is my data stored?
Right on your own device. Everything you enter into Slime HQ — your ingredient library, your recipe formulas, your batch logs, your label settings and your costs — is stored locally in your browser's private storage. It is never uploaded to a Slime HQ server because we don't have one storing your business records.
🔐 Can anyone else see my secret recipes?
No. Because your data stays in your browser on your device, neither Slime HQ nor anyone else can see what you make, what you charge or how much you sell. If you want to move your data to another device, use the backup/export button on the Settings page to save your file.
🌐 Does Slime HQ use tracking or cookies?
We use your browser's local storage to remember your ingredients, recipes, batches, settings and current workspace. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or sell your browsing activity.
🛍️ What happens when I tap a shop link?
When you tap a "Buy" button, you leave Slime HQ and visit an independent retailer (such as Amazon, Walmart or Michaels). Those shops have their own privacy policies and cookie practices. Some of those links include an affiliate tag so the shop knows you came from Slime HQ; this does not share any of your recipe, batch or customer information with the shop.
